Dean's Blue Hole is one of the top 77 Natural Wonders of the World and it is up for sale with the asking price of $24 million, according to the UK's Daily Mail newspaper.

Dean'sOne of the most prestigious properties in the Bahamas has nothing to do with the beachfront villa, but everything to do with a great big hole.

Dean’s Blue Hole is one of the top 77 Natural Wonders of the World and it is up for sale with the asking price of $24million.

The hole is the deepest underwater hole known to man as it goes 633 feet below ground and has been the training ground for extreme divers.

S&P 400 makes all-time record high – chart

This chart presents the long-term trend of the S&P 400 (mid-cap stocks). As the chart illustrates, the S&P 400 rallied from late 2002 into the mid-2007 and then gave most of that back during the financial crisis. However, the S&P 400 rebounded well by recouping all losses incurred during the financial crisis and making new record highs in a mere two years.

BFSB head: Bahamas brand needs greater visibility

Speaking at the Bahamas Business Outlook conference last week, chief executive officer of the Bahamas Financial Services Board Aliya Allen said that The Bahamas needs to put a greater emphasis on marketing to enhance its reputation on the global stage.

The Bahamas needs to improve its visibility if it is to become a world-renowed financial hub, according to chief executive officer of the Bahamas Financial Services Board (BFSB) Aliya Allen, who says a greater emphasis on marketing would help the sector compete internationally.

“The perception of The Bahamas is not as positive as the reputation on the ground,” she said referring to the Global Financial Centres Index (GFCI) produced by Z/Yen Group, which showed that, while The Bahamas ranked highly, the country’s reputation did not reflect this. “That is a question of visibility, a question of marketing and a question of perception.”

XXXXXXSEATTLE, Jan. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Holland America Line recently completed the addition of the line’s casual Italian restaurant Canaletto and transformed the Lido Terrace into an enclosed Wintergarden aboard ms Prinsendam. Named for the famous 18th-century Venetian artist, the award-winning Canaletto is located in the Wintergarden, which is adjacent to the Lido dining area. The restaurant serves classic Italian fare with tableside service for dinner only, and reservations are encouraged.
