A total of 18 students have been granted the opportunity to study in China through scholarships from the government of China and the Confucius Institute at the College of The Bahamas. 

Bahamas Medical Center has been named a sponsor of the World Medical Tourism & Global Healthcare Congress to be held September 20-24, 2014, in Washington, DC, the Medical Tourism Association has announced.

Atlantis Paradise Island and the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism hosted a group of US meeting planners to promote The Bahamas as a premier destination for conferences and corporate events. Watch a video about the event here. 

Baha Mar announced earlier this month that the grand opening of the $3.5-billion megaresort on Cable Beach will be postponed until spring 2015. Senior vice president of external affairs Robert Sands says that the resort will now have a phased opening, with selected guests being invited to the property from December this year.
