BTCMelbourne, Australia, October 30, 2013 –(PR.com)– Australian consulting company Parcus Group announced that it has a contract with Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC) to deliver service creation, product development and product management training and consulting.

“Winning this contract proves the benefits and credibility of our commercially developed and proven service creation model for our service provider customers, which delivers rapid solution development and higher product quality at a price that yields exceptional value,” said Igor Glavanic, Director of Consulting Services at Parcus Group. “We are pleased to extend our services geographical reach into the Caribbean and hope to successfully support additional customers in the region. This engagement will further strengthen our leading presence in the telecom service creation and product development training and consulting market.”

The telecommunications sector in the Bahamas is on the brink of a major transformation. BTC was the sole telecommunications provider for many decades. However, within the past decade that monopoly has been systematically dismantled. It began with internet service, then landline and in April of 2014 the final pillar, mobile will become liberalized putting an end to BTC’s monopoly. In anticipation of the expected competition in the mobile space and to respond to competition in other areas, BTC has been undergoing major transformation as well. The company has been working to upgrade its network, improve customer service, streamline its expenses and create an environment that can readily respond to full on competition.

Mr Glavanic also added that BTC is acting in a well planned manner and can expect to significantly improve their time-to-market performance around delivery of new solutions leveraging Parcus’s proven service creation and product management methodologies.
