Prime Minister Dr Hubert Minnis left the country July 17, 2018 for New York to address the United Nations High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council.

During the Ministerial sessions today, the Prime Minister intends to reaffirm The Bahamas’ commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

This winter American Airlines is growing its presence in The Bahamas with additional year-round service to Nassau, adding a new route from Lynden Pindling International Airport to New York-LaGuardia, as well as an additional weekly frequency to Charlotte.

American AirlinesThis winter American Airlines is growing its presence in The Bahamas with additional year-round service to Nassau, adding a new route from Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) to New York-LaGuardia (LGA) as well as an additional weekly frequency to Charlotte (CLT).

Starting December 22, American will operate these two new Saturday-only flights with Airbus A319. This aircraft features eight seats in First Class, 24 seats in Main Cabin Extra with more legroom, and 96 seats in Main Cabin, in addition to more entertainment options and power outlets in every seat.

Prime Minister Dr Hubert Minnis continued Town Hall meetings this weekend, explaining his government’s 2018/19 National Budget in the Family Islands.

Town meetings were held in church halls and community centres where residents turned up to hear the provisions, and the opportunities presented.

Caribbean ExportThe Caribbean Export Development Agency (Caribbean Export) in collaboration with the European Union (EU) has officially launched its market intelligence portal, known as CE-Intelligence.

At the media launch held July 10, 2018, in Bridgetown, Barbados, executive director Pamela Coke-Hamilton outlined the importance of the CE-Intelligence portal for private sector firms looking to grow their businesses through exporting to new markets.

ALT TAG HEREORLANDO, Fla., July 10, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Air Unlimited, a private flight company offering charter travel and daily airline service to the Bahamas, announces its largest expansion to date with the addition of a new WiFi-equipped business jet, extended hangar and easy-to-use check-in desk located on the island for quick and elite service.

The company doubled its office and hangar space to nearly 20,000 square feet inside the Orlando Sanford International Airport. It also increased its workforce by nearly 20-percent.
