Final phase of airport revamp 90 per cent complete

The $83.5-million final phase of the redevelopment of the Lynden Pindling International Airport is 90 per cent complete and on track to open in just a few months, according to officials from the Nassau Airport Development Co.

The $83.5-million final phase of the redevelopment of the Lynden Pindling International Airport is 90 per cent complete and on track to open in just a few months, according to officials from the Nassau Airport Development Co (NAD), which led Prime Minister Perry Christie and members of government on a tour of the site today.

Caribbean hotels’ income trends upwards

According to PKF Consulting USA, LLC’s (PKFC) 2013 edition of Caribbean Trends® in the Hotel Industry, the average Caribbean hotel that participated in the survey enjoyed a 10.9 per cent increase in net operating income (NOI). This is the second year in a row that Caribbean hotels have experience a double-digit increase in NOI. This is the highest growth in profits that Caribbean hotels have seen since 2008.
