Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) will start weekly seasonal service from the airline’s hub in Minneapolis/St. Paul to Montego Bay, Jamaica and Nassau in the Bahamas, starting January 2015.

Flights will be operated on Airbus A320 aircraft with 150 seats, including 12 seats in Business Class, 18 Economy Comfort seats featuring up to four inches of additional legroom and complimentary beer, wine and spirits and 120 economy seats.

AM Best has affirmed the financial strength rating of A- (Excellent) and the issuer credit rating of “a-” of Family Guardian Insurance Company Ltd. Concurrently, AM Best has affirmed the ICR of “bbb-” of FamGuard Corporation Ltd (BISX:FAM).

Best has affirmed the financial strength rating of A- (Excellent) and the issuer credit rating of “a-” of Family Guardian Insurance Company Limited (Family Guardian). Concurrently, A.M. Best has affirmed the ICR of “bbb-” of FamGuard Corporation Limited (FamGuard) [BISX:FAM] (both domiciled in Nassau, Bahamas). Family Guardian is a wholly owned subsidiary of its publicly traded parent, FamGuard. The outlook for all ratings is stable.

The rating actions for Family Guardian reflect its improving financial performance and adequate reserves specific to its investment in direct residential and commercial loans.

Genting Malaysia Bhd’s indirect 70 per cent-owned unit, BB Entertainment Ltd (BBEL), is acquiring a piece of land from RAV Bahamas Ltd for $24.6 million.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 12 — Genting Malaysia Bhd’s indirect 70 per cent-owned unit, BB Entertainment Ltd (BBEL), is acquiring a piece of land from RAV Bahamas Ltd for US$24.6 million (RM78.6 million).

The land, measuring 6.6 hectares, is in the Bimini Islands, Bahamas.

BBEL is building a 307-key hotel on the land and it is adjacent to the Resorts World Bimini, Genting said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia here today.
