Tourists enjoy spectacular GB airshow

Adults and children were treated to an unforgettable air show hosted by the Ministry of Tourism, and held recently at Taino Beach, Grand Bahama. The air show, a special element of Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival was introduced to create more activities to The Bahamas for tourists.

The Bahamas Financial Services Board's immediate priorities are education, compliance and immigration, according to its CEO Tanya McCartney, who laid out the organisation's key initiatives yesterday at a seminar hosted by the Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants.

The Bahamas Financial Services Board (BFSB)‘s immediate priorities are education, compliance and immigration, according to its CEO Tanya McCartney, who laid out the organisation’s key initiatives yesterday.

Speaking at a seminar hosted by the Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA), McCartney said the BFSB is working closely with the government to implement the Common Reporting Standard (CRS), required by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and hopes to have a framework in place by 2018.

The Securities Commission of The Bahamas is hosting the 12th Annual Caribbean Group of Securities Regulators (CGSR) Conference and Workshop 20-22 April at the British Colonial Hilton, Nassau, Bahamas.
