Ministry of Tourism has claimed that its continued international promotional campaigns are paying dividends with air arrivals increasing in the first quarter of this year by 2.2 per cent year on year, or by around 10,000 individuals.

The IRS has upgraded the FATCA Online Registration System, enabling sponsoring entities to provide additional required details. Added features include being able to add sponsored entities and if applicable, sponsored subsidiary branches.

Preliminary indicators showed that domestic economic activity remained relatively mild during the review month, amid modest impulses from the tourism sector. Also foreign investment projects continued to support output in the construction sector.

Reflecting seasonal impetus from cultural events, the jobless rate narrowed during the first half of the year, although staying incrementally firmer when compared to the same period of 2015.
