The final draft of the National Development Plan (NDP), an economic roadmap for The Bahamas’ future, is set to be released next month following three years of intensive research and stakeholder engagement.

Minister of Financial Services and Local Government Hope Strachan was in Grand Bahama at the end of last week to begin the process of increasing awareness among the business community ahead of the launch of Bahamas Trade Information Service Portal April 6, 2017.

Minister Strachan joined the Minister for Grand Bahama Dr. Michael Darville at a press conference at the Ministry for Grand Bahama to give an update on the project.

She explained that the portal is a joint initiative of the government of The Bahamas and the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation (BCCEC).
