Following an extensive bid process, Cable Bahamas has been selected as the provider of the jurisdiction's second mobile service.

Fort Lauderdale-based airline Silver Airways made its inaugural flight from Tampa, Florida to New Providence Thursday adding 25,000 new seats to The Bahamas. Read a report from the Ministry of Tourism here.
