Cirrus LifeThe Cirrus Owners and Pilots Association (COPA) recently conducted its annual fly-in adventure into Marsh Harbour, Abaco in The Bahamas, with some 20 Cirrus airplanes and forty-six people.

The four-day trip which began from the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport was organized by Leonard Stuart, aviation specialist, at the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism (MOT) and Banyan Air Service, one of The Bahamas’ fixed based operators in Fort Lauderdale.

Pilots and their guests participated in a welcome reception hosted by the MOT and The Abaco Beach Resort, explored Abaco’s historic and adventurous sites, relaxed, snorkeled, participated in boat expeditions to near-by destinations Elbow Cay and Hope Town.

The MOT said it was delighted to host the fly-in for the high-end income COPA group, who travelled from Washington, DC, Pittsburgh, and Florida.

“These pilots pump thousands of dollars into our local economy for fuel, landing and clearance fees, hotel accommodations, meals, tours, entertainment, and we were honored to have them visit and enjoy our beautiful country and experience the warm hospitality of our people,” said Stuart.
