US Secretary of State John Kerry has released a statement congratulating The Bahamas on reaching 42 years of independence on July 10. Read the statement here.

Harbour Island, The Bahamas was voted Best Island in the Caribbean by Travel + Leisure’s readers, taking one of the top honors in the publication’s World’s Best Awards 2015. The award was based on travelers’ ratings of their experiences in the annual World’s Best Awards 2015 readers’ survey.
