The Cabinet Office has announced the appointment of Sharon Wilson, a former President of the Senate and noted attorney and former magistrate; Joseph Curry, a business consultant and former diplomat; and Cheryl Bazard, a noted attorney, as senators under Article 39 (4) of the Constitution.
With these three final appointments, the senate is now fully constituted.
The three new senators will receive their instruments of appointment in a ceremony at Government house May 21, along with the seven other government senators whose appointments were announced last week, namely: Frank Smith, Gregory Burrows, Jerome Gomez, Julian Russell, Gary Sawyer, Alex Storr and Tanisha Tynes.
The other two government senators, Senators Allyson Maynard Gibson and Keith Bell, received their senatorial instruments when they were sworn in as ministers of the government.
