The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employees Confederation (BCCEC) has teamed up with the US Embassy to deliver two International Trade and Financing Seminars, the first of which takes place at the Sheraton, Nassau May 22.
The two-day event will give entrepreneurs an opportunity to learn about access to finance as well as purchasing US goods. Pre-registered companies will also receive one-on-one counseling.
MITA Group president James Hunt will be the keynote speaker at the event, which moves to Freeport, Grand Bahama, on May 24.
US Embassy Charge d’Affaires John Dinkelman will also address seminar attendees in both Nassau and Freeport.
The BCCEC hopes the events will encourage Bahamian entrepreneurs to build their businesses by taking advantage of loan opportunities. The organization is keen to develop the country’s small and medium sized enterprises, which contribute over 20 per cent to the Bahamas economic activity.
