Disney Cruise Line will soon be bringing another huge liner to The Bahamas when it launches its latest cruise ship – the 130,000 tonne Disney Fantasy.
The ship is currently undergoing construction in Germany and recently celebrated putting the finishing touches to the bow. The Fantasy, which can carry 4,000 passengers, will set out on its maiden voyage on March 31, 2012. It will sail alternating seven-night cruises from Port Canaveral, Florida to Caribbean destinations including Disney’s private island in The Bahamas, Castaway Cay.
The fourth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Fantasy is 40 per cent larger and two decks higher than sister ships the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder.
It will include the onboard AquaDuck “water coaster,” as as well as an entertainment area featuring bars and lounges exclusively reserved for guests aged 18 and over, a boutique where children can get a makeover as their favourite Disney character and new shows such as the Animation Magic show and the musical Aladdin.
